Just a brief synopsis for today 'cos
it's a rest day! We are in Tiverton. Today is really important for
recovering our energy and giving our knees and bums a rest! Having
said that we cycle over to the IT man's house (Peter) and give him
our notebook computer to examine. He says he'll phone us this
afternoon when he's had a look.
We spend most of the morning in Costa
and the launderette, followed by a late lunch in a store a
bit like a very small Debenhams, with a 1960's feel about it.
Peter the IT man phones. “I
didn't have to do anything to your computer,”
he says honestly. “It connected to the internet straight
away!”
“That's strange – but
brilliant!” I say, and tell
him we'll be right over. I'm so happy that I'll be able to post the
blog.
Peter doesn't want
to charge us anything but I give him £20 for his time and trouble.
He shows Reg that the computer is connected to the internet.
We cycle back to
the B&B with our clean washing and our computer – and it won't
connect to the internet. Back to square 1.
